CURRENT & FORMER STUDENT SUCCESS STORIES
Each of my students has a different definition of success.
Some want to be able to sing “Happy Birthday” at a party or
jump in at a Karaoke bar without feeling self-conscious;
others want to be their best at auditions for performing
arts schools and local singing competitions; and some
aspire to be the next American Idol or a famous pop star.
Here are just a few of their success stories:
GABRIELLE COWEN got the lead role of Dorothy in
The Lake Worth Playhouse’s Summer, 2010
production of “The Magical Land of Oz.”
NOLAN SOTILLO placed 2nd in Palm Beach
Idol--2009, and went on to win the “Dream Ticket” to
American Idol at the American Idol Experience in
Orlando. He is currently in LA where he is seeking a
record deal, acting roles, and has recently been cast
in the Disney movie “Prom.”
JOAN MEYERS, LISA REMICK AND ALESE JONES’ recordings were
featured on “
Dick Robinson’s American Standards By The
Sea” nationally syndicated radio program in May,
June and July 2010 respectively.
ANNE BOSWORTH was chosen to participate in New York’s
Metropolitan Room “Metrostar, 2009”
competition.
DIANE TYMINSKI was chosen out of hundreds of singers in
Palm Beach County to participate in Palm Beach Popstar,
2007, put on by the
Palm Beach Pops. She was the top female
finalist.
LETICIA CISNEROS opened for Percy Sledge with her band at
the 2000 New Year’s Eve concert on Grand Bahama Island.
Too many students to name have had successful auditions
over the past ten years at Bak Middle School of the Arts,
Dreyfoos School of the Arts, Berkley School of Music,
Belmont University, Marymount Manhattan, and NYU.
